My husband, Todd, and I have been happily married for 28 years, and together we have been blessed with two wonderful children. Family has always been the foundation of my life and has shaped the values of service, hard work, and compassion that I bring to this office every day.

Leadership Team
At the Hendry County Tax Collector’s Office, our leadership team is committed to delivering exceptional public service with professionalism, integrity, and innovation. Led by the elected Tax Collector, our executive team works together to ensure the efficient management of state and local services while continually improving the customer experience for the residents of Hendry County.
Our leadership team includes the Tax Collector, Chief Operations Officer, Director of IT and Tax Administration, and Director of Tax Collections and Delinquent Services. Together, they oversee the daily operations of the office, strategic planning, financial management, technology and cybersecurity initiatives, tax administration, customer service operations, and the collection and distribution of property taxes and delinquent taxes.
As a constitutional office and fee office, our team is dedicated to operating efficiently and responsibly while providing convenient, accurate, and customer-focused services to our community. From modernizing technology and enhancing online services to ensuring compliance with Florida laws and safeguarding public funds, our leadership team is focused on building a forward-thinking organization that serves the citizens of Hendry County with excellence every day.
Amy Collins was elected Hendry County Tax Collector in August 2024 and proudly assumed office in January 2025. With more than 28 years of public service experience, Amy has dedicated her career to serving the citizens of Florida through leadership, innovation, and a commitment to exceptional customer service.
Prior to becoming Tax Collector, Amy spent 23 years with the Lee County Tax Collector’s Office, where she advanced through multiple leadership positions including Senior Finance Specialist, Human Resources Administration Coordinator, Legal Coordinator, and Customer Service Assistant Manager. During her tenure, she gained extensive experience in finance, human resources, legal administration, operations management, customer service, and strategic planning.
Amy’s professional accomplishments include developing and implementing process improvements, managing complex financial and legal operations, overseeing large-scale personnel programs, and creating innovative solutions to improve efficiency and service delivery. Following her service in Lee County, Amy served as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools for the Hendry County School District, where she continued her commitment to public service and community engagement until she took office in January 2025.
Throughout her career, Amy has earned numerous professional certifications, including designation as a Certified Public Manager through Florida State University and a Certified Florida Collector through the Florida Department of Revenue. Her broad experience in government administration, finance, customer service, and leadership provides a strong foundation for serving the residents of Hendry County.
As Tax Collector, Amy’s vision is centered on providing fast, friendly, and effective service while ensuring transparency, accountability, and fiscal responsibility. Since taking office, she has focused on modernizing technology, expanding customer services, strengthening community partnerships, and creating a culture of excellence within the organization.
Amy is deeply invested in the Hendry County community and has volunteered with numerous local organizations, including the Hendry Regional Medical Center Foundation Board, the LaBelle Downtown Revitalization Corporation, Hendry County 4-H, youth athletics programs, and various charitable initiatives.
A lifelong advocate for public service, she remains committed to enhancing the customer experience, fostering community engagement, and ensuring the Hendry County Tax Collector’s Office continues to provide outstanding service to the residents of Hendry County.
Amy has been happily married to her husband, Todd, for 28 years. Together, they have raised two wonderful children and have built their lives around faith, family, and service to their community. As a lifelong resident of Southwest Florida, Amy understands the importance of strong communities, responsive local government, and creating opportunities for future generations.

As the elected constitutional officer, the Tax Collector provides leadership and oversight for the office while ensuring the responsible collection and distribution of taxes, the delivery of state and local services, and a strong commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and community trust throughout Hendry County.

Chief Deputy
The Chief Operations Officer oversees the day-to-day operations of the agency, providing strategic leadership in financial management, organizational efficiency, employee development, and operational planning to ensure exceptional service delivery to the citizens of Hendry County.

The Director of IT & Tax Administration oversees the agency’s technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and tax administration functions while leading innovation, system modernization, and operational support to ensure secure, efficient, and reliable services for both customers and staff.

Serving Hendry & Glades Counties
Serving Hendry County is at the heart of everything we do. The Hendry County Tax Collector’s Office is dedicated to providing friendly, efficient, and accessible services to the residents of LaBelle, Clewiston, and the surrounding communities. From motor vehicle and driver license services to tax collections and additional state services, our team is committed to meeting the needs of our growing community with professionalism and care.
In addition to serving Hendry County residents, our office is also proud to provide driver license services to residents of Glades County, where these services are not currently available to Glades county residents. We are honored to help bridge that gap by ensuring our neighboring residents have convenient access to essential driver license and identification services close to home.
Important Notice: As a reminder, we are unable to process transactions for transactions for out-of-county customers. Due to increased population and operational demands within Hendry County, we must prioritize our resources to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our residents. While we value the opportunity to serve all our customers, our priority is serving Hendry County. If you are not a resident of Hendry or Glades county, please visit your county Tax Collector’s office for service.
